Chicken Cardiac Muscle

چکیده
Selective comparative investigations into the uhrastructure of cardiac muscle have yielded m u c h information regarding the existence in cardiac muscle of a n u m b e r of discrete subcellular components that are common to the hearts of most, if not all, of a variety of different vertebrates.

Immunological differences between actins from cardiac muscle, skeletal muscle, and brain.
The antigenic similarities and differences between various actins were explored by use of antisera against purified bovine cardiac actin and chicken embryo brain actin. In double-antibody coprecipitation tests, purified iodinated actins from bovine cardiac muscle, rabbit skeletal muscle, chicken embryo brain, and bovine brain all bound to antiserum against chicken embryo brain actin. This resul...
متن کاملMolecular cloning and expression of chicken cardiac troponin C.
We have isolated a full length complementary DNA clone (pCTnC1) from a 19-day embryonic chicken heart library corresponding to cardiac troponin C (TnC). Sequence analysis demonstrated varying homologies with TnC complementary DNA clones isolated from developing chick skeletal muscle. Using pCTnC1 as a hybridization probe, we have determined that cardiac TnC is constitutively expressed in both a...
متن کاملChicken cardiac tropomyosin and a low-molecular-weight nonmuscle tropomyosin are related by alternative splicing.
We have isolated and characterized complementary DNAs (cDNAs) encoding chicken cardiac muscle tropomyosin and a low-molecular-weight nonmuscle tropomyosin. The cardiac muscle cDNA (pCHT-4) encodes a 284-amino acid protein that differs from chicken skeletal muscle alpha- and beta-tropomyosins throughout its length. The nonmuscle cDNA (pFT-C) encodes a 248-amino acid protein that is most similar ...
متن کاملDifferentiation of troponin in cardiac and skeletal muscles in chicken embryos as studied by immunofluorescence microscopy
The differentiation of troponin (TN) in cardiac and skeletal muscles of chicken embryos was studied by indirect immunofluorescence microscopy. Serial sections of embryos were stained with antibodies specific to TN components (TN-T, -I, and -C) from adult chicken cardiac and skeletal muscles. Cardiac muscle began to be stained with antibodies raised against cardiac TN components in embryos after...
